Executive and Operations Assistant - Full-Time

Summary:
The Executive and Operations Assistant provides essential support to the RtD team, especially the Co-Directors and Chief of Staff, to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability. This role focuses on the execution of day-to-day administrative and operational tasks, financial record-keeping, and logistical coordination. The Assistant serves as a foundational support pillar, taking leadership of operational projects and tasks, allowing the leadership team to focus on programmatic priorities.
Salary Range: starting salary competitive with regional standards, plus benefits, depending on experience.

Communications Manager - Full-Time

Summary:
The Communications Manager works closely with RtD’s Co-Directors and Chief of Staff to develop and execute the organization’s communication strategy. This includes supporting the creation and implementation of RtD’s communications work plan, managing social media and digital content, and producing materials that amplify our advocacy efforts across a variety of channels and modalities. The position also plays a key role in generating new and creative ideas for strategic messaging, and ensuring consistent branding across platforms.
Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 + Benefits

Internship & Fellowship Opportunities (2026)
Right to Democracy invites law students, undergraduate, and graduate students to apply for our 2026 unpaid fellowship opportunities. We seek creative, enthusiastic applicants with excellent research and communication skills who are committed to democracy, equity, and self-determination.
These positions can be structured for-credit with institutional approval or remain unpaid. Applications for the Spring, Summer, and Fall terms are considered on a rolling basis.
Available Roles Include:
- Litigation Fellow: Legal research and writing for active litigation.
- Law and Policy Fellow: Supporting advocacy before Congress and the Administration.
- Human Rights Fellow: Developing strategies for international advocacy.
- Media & Communications Fellow: Creating social media content and narrative change strategies.
- Stakeholder Relationships Fellow: Supporting donor engagement and nonprofit development.
